Components

The three main components of the technology platform for Species Explorer are a web-based application, a mobile device-based application, and the online Species Explorer server. The mobile component is designed as a lightweight tool focused on those features needed for recording observations "in the field." The web-based application includes a more robust feature set, allowing the user to not only record observations, but organize and review all of their observations and those of other "species trackers."
