About

The lesser capybara is a large semi-aquatic rodent found in South America that has vast similarities with, yet subtle differences from, the slightly larger common capybara, the largest species of rodent in the world.

Fun Fact

Compared to greater capybaras, the lesser capybara is generally smaller in size, with adults growing up to 90 centimetres (3 ft) in length, weighing up to 28 kilograms (62 lb), and having a darker brown coat.
