The pen-tailed treeshrew is a treeshrew of the family Ptilocercidae native to southern Thailand, the Malay Peninsula, Borneo, and some Indonesian islands.

Fun Fact

Pen-tailed treeshrews drink naturally fermented palm nectar with an alcohol content of up to 3.8% every night — the equivalent of nine glasses of wine — yet show no signs of intoxication, making them the heaviest habitual drinkers in the animal kingdom.
