The dusky-capped woodcreeper is a species of bird in the subfamily Dendrocolaptinae of the ovenbird family Furnariidae. It is found in Bolivia and Brazil.

Juveniles are similar to adults with the largest difference being their shorter, straighter, and yellowish bill.
Habitat
Found in the Amazon Basin of northeastern Bolivia and western Brazil, south of the Amazon River in the interfluve of the Madeira and Tapajós rivers.
