The Ecuadorian tyrannulet is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae, the tyrant flycatchers. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.

The Ecuadorian tyrannulet was originally described as Pogonotriccus gualaquizæ and was later moved to genus Phylloscartes.
Habitat
Found in the upper valley of the Mayo River near the border of northern Peru's San Martín and Amazonas departments.
Diet
Prey from leaves and twigs.
